I am an ‘R’ Licensed NYS Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years of private practice experience in psychotherapy and counseling. I work primarily with adult individuals and couples providing an insightful and interactive approach to healing and change.

I help people with anxiety and depression, relationship issues, parenting, career issues, sexuality and gender issues, as well as substance abuse and dependence.

Individual counseling combines several different dynamic approaches to help people understand the patterns that
guide their lives and make the conscious changes needed to realize their goals. Leslie provides a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment to work through past
and present obstacles that detour people on their paths toward more fulfilling lives.

Couples counseling is a direct, interactive approach wherein couples (married or unmarried, straight, same sex, queer) have an opportunity to learn about the forces that work to sabotage intimacy and commitment. Focus is on clarification and resolution of previous difficulties, learning healthy communication skills, understanding one's own and partner’s needs, and learning to turn paralyzing resentment into positive action.

I provide a self and welcoming space for all.

I hold a Masters of Social Work from The Wurzweiler School of Social Work and a bachelors degree with honors from The University at Albany.
I have studied at The Greenwich Institute, and trained at The Fifth Avenue Center for Counseling and Psychotherapy. I have been in private practice in Greenwich Village 1994 -2015.  I was an independent psychotherapist at The Lighthouse Wellness Center in Croton on Hudson, NY from 2015-2018.  I now practice independently in the tranquil beauty of the Hudson River Valley in Croton on Hudson.                                                               I have been a contributing columnist on relationships for Moms Offer More and relationships and sexuality for More Sugar.  Please see "Articles".
